Wine Country Many vineyards are conveniently located within minutes of Olde Beau. Visit these vineyards to taste some outstanding wines and learn the rich heritage that makes up Yadkin Valley Wine Country. Shelton Vineyards is located 30 minutes away and encompasses 383 acres, making it North Carolina’s largest family owned estate winery. Shelton Vineyards has won numerous awards, crafting some of North Carolina’s finest Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Pinot Blanc, White Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Viognier. Shelton Vineyards is opened daily for wine tasting, tours, and picnicking on the beautifully maintained property. The award winning wines crafted by Round Peak are made exclusively from Yadkin Valley grapes. Visit the vineyards and experience their Chardonnay, Fiddler’s Red, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, and Sweet Niagara while touring the vineyard. Round Peak’s tasting room is open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
